Gherkin Baptized!

We were really excited about getting to see everyone. We had a few ups and downs but the important thing is we heard wonderful testimonies and Gherkin was baptized. She said it was indescribable. Thanks to everyone who came and supported her in body and spirit.

Compliments of LeVon Jr. Thanks to all who sent gifts. They really liked the diabetic cookbook from Marianne. Here's to many more years. Their party from all of us last year gave them a lifetime of memories. How could they top it thids year?!

Grandpa and Grandma and Terry News

Well, I forgot the camera, oops! But we ate lunch in front of G&G today.
(They had just ate and we were starving!) They met us at McDonald's. We sat with Ronald McDonald and on fry guy chairs and hamburglers. It was fun. We have Jon and Adam and they are missing their Mom lots but are still having fun here. Jon said, "I miss my Mom. I like her at my house. I don't like her at the Bahamas. I like her at my house." So sweet. Adam has been having a little bit harder of a time but he is settling down today and having more fun. We went to a RS Activity (We got to learn all about diamonds!)and the kids all played with Brad in the Nursery room. I came in to check on everyone and he was laying on a beanbag with 20 kids about him looking at the pictures and reading a book about " I think we is Chickens!" I am not clear on who was having the most fun. Spellbound they all were. Mom and Dad are good but tired. We had to move along in order to get home with the bus. SOCCER ANGEL WANTS THE ENTIRE WORLD TO KNOW SHE GETS HER BRACES OFF MAY 21, 2008 STARTING AT 10AM THROUGH LAST APPOINTMENT STARTS AROUND 1:30PM. There, you may all sit back and relax now. I know the suspense was killing you. I am lazy so if you want to see the pics of the Hayes kids, go through the million posts we did this morning. They are so cute!

Prayers

I'd just like to encourage everyone to keep the Pieper family in our prayers right now. It's a rough transition and we all know that during times of transition and growth we need extra strength from those around us. Thanks to you all for your love and encouragement for our family members.

Grandparents Update

LeVon finally got Mom to send down her computer to Texas. She was careful and put Fragile, This End Up complete with picture drawings. LeVon received it in destruction. He said it looked like someone had dropped it from a 2 story building. So, Mom's computer is gone. He is taking it to the Post Office today for a damage claim. We are thankful for insurance!!! Mom is sad. It was her only copy of Family History. So, when we she settles on a new computer we will have to have Marianne or I load up the info from ours. For some reason they don't think they can share a computer. Dad's could still be hooked up to the internet, but Mom wants her own I guess. Dad is going to the Dr. again today. It wasn't clear why, he came in the house and Mom had to go, he had fallen in the backyard and was all muddy. He had been filling in mudholes? I'm not that sure. This is all I know.

Dubuquians

Deanne doesn't get much time for blogging, so since I talked to her this am, I will let you know she is quite happily? ripping up her kitchen floor with toddlers. Painting her bathroom, with toddlers and having a great time staying ahead of them. She sounds good, very busy though. Trying to prepare Alyssa for college, Pampered Chef and the house for Graduation and getting ready to go on 2 vacations. I get to keep the 2 shortest. We are really excited.

Cars are Free / Water Issues

Brad came over and pulled out the vehicles and they are out and parked where they need to be. It was a big mud pit. It was all standing full of water. Brad hooked up cumalongs and took care of it.
The refrigerator upstairs is leaking through the basement and poured on top Brad's head while he was checking their other leaks. ( He was excited.)
They need a new refrigerator, it's all rusted out and even though they have paid for a few service fees it's going to do the same thing again. They want to keep the ice maker, and it is ruining all the floor joists. He is trying to get things as well as he can between jobs and having to come back home for concerts and baptisms. He is a tired boy. They are happy they can get out now. What adventures!

Mud Bogging

Dad started with the Cadilac last Saturday driving it through the backyard, then it became stuck. He deceided to get it out on Tuesday. Now add Vehicle #2 to the backyard. He has missing chains so we have a call out to anyone who knows where those chains may be so they can get back on the road. LeVon suggested he bring chains in June. Dad didn't seem amused. Dan brought over additional chains. However he still needs another 60 ft.
