Summer Playtime

Volunteering at the Humane Society. We walked the dogs and played with the kittys.

Playing at Look Out Park.

Our Nature Hike at George Wyth included climbing vines. And being ate up by bugs.

I love my family!!

I feel like I don't say it enough, but I really do love this family! So, if I haven't told you in a while, know this....I LOVE YOU!! And I really do think of you often!!

Back To The Future

Christmas Mornings in the Terry Household were a big affair. I have tons of memories of many traditions. I want to hear what some of your memories are and what traditions you pass on in your families or create anew. I remember Ivan and Dianne and I running all over the house singing Santa Lucia and various Christmas Carols to wake everyone up. I remember rushing to get ready with cinnamon rolls and oranges for breakfast and hot chocolate or milk because it was time to go to Grandpa and Grandma Forsyth's. Nut shells covering everywhere. Ivan making constant jokes about nutcrackers when our parents weren't listening. Later to go to Uncle Raymond's. I remember someone always having bows decorated on them and my kids do the same things now. My kids are kinda lazy though, Christmas Morning is hard for me because Brad and I are up and waiting for our kids and finally can't take it anymore and yell at them to get up. I remember waking Mom and Dad up at the atrocious hour of 3am to 6 am at the LATEST. I remember laying under the Christmas Tree and the Red Christmas Singing Bells playing the notes for favorite Christmas Songs and singing for what seemed like hours before everyone else got up. I remember mostly Ivan and Dianne at these times because that's when I was getting older and things were more permanent. I remember those striped pajamas and being jealous cause I thought they were soooo cool. I am grateful now I didn't have a pair. : ) So tell me about your memories and traditions now. Your turn! My favorite memory of the 25th Wedding anniversary is the teenagers hanging Ivan up on a coathook because he was being so annoying and laughing and being a little worried that he wouldn't get down. Good Times! Good Times!

If I had a hammer...

Dianne visited Iowa and everyone had so much fun playing with her girls and getting to know them again that we forgot to take pictures of them all! OOPS! Maybe the others will forgive me someday. Anyway, these are some of the shots we got of the smallest 4 trying to "build" the dollhouse. They had so much fun. We are sure going to miss them. Especially Maggie and her free flowing comments. She really cracked us up. Reminds us more than a little of some kids we know in Iowa. Emma was just sweet as can be and Dianne, well we always miss you! Maybe Israel can come next time! He is so fun! Poor guy, he always gets left out of the fun. I only wish I had pictures of the beauty shop and the tent of Hannah Montana and the dancing. I think my favorite new Maggieism was I just did a dance to welcome myself here! We will miss you all like crazy.

Cute pictures at Grandpa and Grandma's

So we had to go back for a quick visit, the dentist calls and I didn't want to change Drs. we love our combo pair there. So this is Lil Dan and his cast that is NOT supposed to be able for him to get off, we will see. This is Mom and Dad just being cute and relaxed and happy and peaceful. Well, Dad may be a little uncomfortable, he was perched on a box so he could get closer to Mom. : )
