Back To The Future

Christmas Mornings in the Terry Household were a big affair. I have tons of memories of many traditions. I want to hear what some of your memories are and what traditions you pass on in your families or create anew. I remember Ivan and Dianne and I running all over the house singing Santa Lucia and various Christmas Carols to wake everyone up. I remember rushing to get ready with cinnamon rolls and oranges for breakfast and hot chocolate or milk because it was time to go to Grandpa and Grandma Forsyth's. Nut shells covering everywhere. Ivan making constant jokes about nutcrackers when our parents weren't listening. Later to go to Uncle Raymond's. I remember someone always having bows decorated on them and my kids do the same things now. My kids are kinda lazy though, Christmas Morning is hard for me because Brad and I are up and waiting for our kids and finally can't take it anymore and yell at them to get up. I remember waking Mom and Dad up at the atrocious hour of 3am to 6 am at the LATEST. I remember laying under the Christmas Tree and the Red Christmas Singing Bells playing the notes for favorite Christmas Songs and singing for what seemed like hours before everyone else got up. I remember mostly Ivan and Dianne at these times because that's when I was getting older and things were more permanent. I remember those striped pajamas and being jealous cause I thought they were soooo cool. I am grateful now I didn't have a pair. : ) So tell me about your memories and traditions now. Your turn! My favorite memory of the 25th Wedding anniversary is the teenagers hanging Ivan up on a coathook because he was being so annoying and laughing and being a little worried that he wouldn't get down. Good Times! Good Times!
